Pillar #2: Stakeholder and Community Partnerships for Advocacy

The Center encourages crosstalk between Morehouse School of Medicine and the broader community to gain input and perspectives from local, state, and national leaders to inform translational research priorities. At the same time, we maintain a relevant and sustainable footprint within the communities that the research and policies supported by the Center aim to serve. This pillar facilitates the integration of evidence-based findings from the translational research pillar to inform health policy. Additionally, with equity at the core of what we do, we serve as an information resource hub and provide capacity-building assistance to our maternal health community partners that work at the state, local level and national level to advance opportunities for mothers and families, eliminate maternal morbidity and mortality, and advance maternal health equity.
